  • Re: Apple TV or Equivalent?

Realy depend what your main use wil be from it. I have an apple tv, and a TVIX 6500 connected to my BV7. The tvix allows a much wider range of formats to be plaed back, but the interface is not a nice as the apple. With the apple I have to use itunes to keep it all synced, where the tvix just points at my pc, or nas drive and plays the content. The

[quote user="gk31ax"] As a self confessed Apple Geek, I resisted the iPhone for 9 months, then bought a 2G version.....I haven't regretted it for a second, it integrates beautifully into my like, I can control my itunes library which plays through my BC2 and BL8000s beautifully.... Waiting for the next version in June (or whenever they

  • Re: Price drop for Bang&Olufsen BeoVisions

I'm sure a lot of you won't agree with this, and I'mnot saying B&O TVs are good value as they are not and should be cheaper. Having said that, look at the recent announcement from Pioneer, lookhow much Panasonic, Samsung etc actually made on screen sales last year, then look at the profits for Dixons, Currys and the shops trying to sell

  • Re: Power Off or Standby

I love all these green products. Can anyone prove to me that the energy saved by people having these things plugged in (which are still using power all the time) will ever cancel out: The power used on in their development, PC's, printers, people driving to and from work. Their manufacture, Factorys, building the machines to make them, making them

  • ATV -setting a source

Hi Since a BV7 32 with DTV will only allow one other STB controller, I am trying to use the Apple TV XML template to control the device directly, through an IR sender. 2 questions. Using the template I donloaded from here, how do I tell the Beo5 to select a source (VMEM) to use the apple commands against. Also, has anyone actually managed to send beo5

  • Re: beo 7 v1

When using the DVI in on a Mk1 you will not be able to pull up the STB menu. It still works exactly the same using the "GO" button though. eg "Go 1" will pull up your TV guide, "Go 8" to record

  • Re: BeoLab 7-1/7-2 Placement Options

There's no reason why wall mounting shouldn't be an option on a plasterboard wall. I have a BV7 40 with 7-2 and motorised wall bracket in the Lounge, and a BV4 65/BL10 in the TV room, both on plasterboard studded walls. You'd be amased at the weight plasterboard will take if you use the right fixings - and ideally hit a stud or upright.
