  • Re: B&O and flatmates

If you go into another share home set your gear up in your bedroom with a dead lock. When friends come over the most I let them do is hold the Beo4 but now I have a Beo5 i'm skeptical, maybe i'll pull out the Beo4 when guests come over.

  • Re: BeoLab 9 not magnetically shielded

Shielding speakers is also done by sticking a magnet to the back of the speaker drivers magnet + to - therefore cancelling out the interferance with CRT screens, this was an extra measure taken by B&O in the past. This is no longer needed as there is no longer CRT's in the range. People using newer items with older setups can simply place them

  • Re: new product 2007/2008

BS9000 will have a place in the range as long as CD is part of the market.People have extensive CD collections and multi CD is a great option, why improve on something that is better than any other multi CD player on the market. I do agree on BL6000's, no point for them in the range. BL8000's are an icon, they could be in the range forever,

  • Re: BeoLab 3500 as a TV speaker

I agree with david, BeoLab 4000's side by side is a much better option or BL3's. Both can be mounted high or low and close or wide apart, then using the pivoting mounts you can aim the path of sound dirrectly to the centre sitting point. I even think that it's a better option than BL7-1, that's if you take looks also into acount.

  • Re: beocenter 1 ml mystery - still mysterious

I'd get the serial and type number of the BC1 and ask the dealer if the unit has the software in it. I remember that some BC1's came with MasterLink connector but the software was left as an optional extra. In Australia most units come with the extras built in. The red flash is the unit responding to your command. Yes, it should be V.Opt.

  • Re: unlock region coding for beocenter 2 (MK II)???

It is illegal to import a multi region product but it is not illegal to open region the product once it is in the country (go figure). Once worked for Sony and B&O for 4,5 years respectively and it was common to go out to the customers homes and open region it, usually send a tech out to do it. The older B&O products would be open regioned via

To unlock my BV7-40" a service tech came over and put a disc in the reader. Took all of 5 minutes. Not sure if BC2 is the same but i'm assuming it is.

  • Re: beocenter 1 ml mystery

It does have to be activated. The option also changes depending on what products you are connecting and in what rooms they are in. If it's a BeoCenter1 (as the master) and a sound system as the link (slave) it would be BC1 as option 2 and sound system option 0, this is presuming that the speakers are connected to the TV (is there speakers or just

  • Re: Interview with Torben Ballegaard Sørensen!

David: I think one of the most interesting questions would be, how did he make it to be the CEO of B&O. A question that would not be pleasant, but still curious, do they sometimes mark the price up on products, simply because they can? He made it to CEO at B&O cause he was CEO at Lego and put Lego into computer learning games for children, that

  • Re: Beolink Wireless 1 (IMHO - still less than what it could be)

New BeoSound 5 should come with a link transmiter inside it. Digital out/Power link for main speakers, then built in wireless for other rooms. Guess we'll find out soon. Fingers crossed.
