How did it progress through albums? By spinning the wheel like on the Beosound 5 itself, or with buttons?

I don't need it, but as it is B and O, I want it. LOL. Just not sure I like the looks of it behind the Beosound 5. I have my 5 setting on a cabinet and like the way it looks with the space between the screen of the 5 and the top of the cabinet.

Does it have to be physically mounted on the Beosound 5 or can it be hidden away in a cabinet and connected to Beosound 5 by wires only?
