Does the Bs3 do anything to the video signal ? I've installed a 92"cinema set-up , Sony Ps3 , Bs3 and Samsung SP-A800-B and am quite content with the picture quality , not the absolute best but am happy for the price the projector was , could have spent more for little improvement and on HD it's excellent and there isn't much left to

Even the technician couldn't fathom out why it wouldn't go to straight cinema with one press , hopefully Denmark will have an answer . Probably the Beo5 is the answer but prefer to use the beo4 , doesn't roll about on the sofa like the 5 does . Richard

I've got a Beo5 and a Beo4 cinema , I will try and program a command chain in the Beo5 to get a one press Dvd start up , but don't know if it will like a stack of delays to get 10 seconds between Tv and Format 0 . Tried the Tv and audio switches with no result , Tv command is the same only centre speaker , have to call Tv or audio first to get

My set-up is , Room 35' x 17' , Bs3 , 6 Penta's , BL 10 Centre , Samsung Spa800b projector and Bs4500 via a Bl Converter and have two problems . Because I don't have a Tv in this set-up it takes three commands to get the screen and projector down and play a Dvd , I have to call Tv , count to 10 then Format 0 and wait for the screen to

Hi Stig , thanks for your comments but can't turn off the Bs3 just for audio as all the speakers go from it for the 5.1 cinema and the Bs4500 is connected via a BeoLink converter . Did think about having a second Power Link circuit from the Bs4500 to the Penta's as there are two Power Links sockets in each Penta but would probably cost £300

Tried Video and Audio switch and altered the volume and other controls to see if that would kick them into life but no display . Tried one of the Penta's on my Bv7-40 and got audio display but no video , but I have a Bv6 linked to this 7 and if the 7 is in audio and then turn on the 6 the display went off . Looks to me as though the Bs3 will sometimes

Installed last Friday and is software 4.17a . I've worked out a fix , I plugged in a full spec power link cable direct to one of the Penta's from the master and called for Cd thru the Bs3 ( all speakers connected to that ) and the displays work . All displays came on so looks like the power link data pins on the Bs3 are connected as it's

Hi Neil . The drawing in the Beolink handbook shows pin7 shield/ground around the white/data wire 6 , the other ground/shield pin2 goes around the left and right signals . Looks to me that pin 6 and 7 are the one's . On the thin Powerlink cable pins 1 , 6 , 7 and 8 are not connected and am wondering if pin 1 is needed to trigger the display ? Richard

I've got the Beolink handbook , it shows the Powerlink wiring layout and pin 6 is datalink and pin 7 is it's shield/ground . I've connected these but no display and am a bit reluctant to try other combinations without knowing what I doing . The pin layout is as below . Pin 1 = grey = power up/down Pin 2 = shield = ground Pin 3 = brown =signal

Changed my BS4500 set-up to go thru a BeoSystem 3 via a datalink converter , have 6 Penta's and have now lost the displays as the BS3 doesn't support it and doesn't let the data thru . As the Powerlink sockets on the BS4500 master are not now used I am wondering if I could take a feed from pin 6 ( data ) and feed the Penta's to get the
