Great reading, Soundproof - as usual! Based on one of the links you enclosed, I was wondering how two different approaches towards constructing corners of a room might affect its accoustics (picture enclosed). Would 'adding corners' behind the front speakers (right picture) be an acoustical improvement or vice versa? Any experts here? :-)

I’ve had an Avant 28’ for years in our bedroom and was/am quite happy with it – it’s, of course, (quint)essential to have your bedroom linked … J However, at the moment I’m considering another solution: Beoport (video enabled), large LCD screen, wireless keyboard and mouse plus a pair of speakers. Now, beside the

They even included Lee's slightly critical opinion on CD reader's missing presence in BS5 ... interesting, some ace up their sleeves? :-)

OK - but then it should be like I said ... still you could try to add to your Beo4 the command LINK-AV and use this in an analogical manner to the above (command AV)

When you have your link-room Avant in option 6 the correct sequence in order to get the stereo (better quality through Masterlink) should be: AV on your Beo4's display (using LIST) and then you just press DVD and that's it - to go back to the mono sound (worse quality through the RF cable) you just press DVD again etc. You can change the sound
It is to bad that B&O abandoned the s/pdif output on their CD players after the BS-9000.
Maybe the CD-department had given to up the hope of/didn't know about the future launch of BL5's? Sad, I agree. I can though still remember using the S/PDIF once - prior to the launch of BL5s. I ONCE programmed
It is interesting to note that six years later, there still is no commercial competition for them.... Best regards, Dave Moulton
True, Dave, and it's really nice to see that some people actually managed to make time to seem passing by slower than usuallly with BL5s (let's forget the flat screens

avus17, relax, there appear to be a silent majority on the issue ... I agree with timhanna (indeed there are 3 possible settings, among other possibilities), except for him comparing BL8000 to a pair of submarines ... (In my recent excited thread I stated how the combo of (even) BL6000 and BL2 pleasanntly surprised me in a larger room - and getting
