  • Re: Torben B. has been sacked!!!!!

It's quite simple really. People with 'disposable income' want to be exclusive. All B&O has to do is deliver something slightly different to the norm to give it the edge and people in this group will be satisifed and buy it. One of my close friends is married to a premiership football player and they have B&O integrated througout

  • Re: Faulty B&O. Is it a reliable product?

Well, I am out of ideas now! Can't offer any other advice. What is it with B&O products in Australia? Perhaps they just don't work well in that environment for some reason! Sorry to hear you both have had all these problems, it really isn't typical. I have the BS3 and it has worked like a gem since day 1. I think its a great little product

Really don't know what to think or say about this. It's been very interesting reading through everyone's comments and of course there are all sorts of opinions. I am not too worried about Torben, he'll be fine and be head hunted in no time. He'll probably be snapped up quite quickly. But, I do feel sad for B&O. Like most people

Alex: Either way, the best car money can buy would be a Volkswagen camper van Okay, well maybe it's not a car, but it's still the best thing to be seen in on the road. Either that or a TR6 or Cortina mk3 Alex, interesting you mentioned the TR6. My late father was a Triumph enthusiast and owned every TR car ever built. He bought and restored

  • Re: B&O shares drop 29 per cent - oh dear!

I do love the B&O brand and have done for many years but I am also quite hard nosed in life so if B&O mess it up for themselves and go out of business then I won't be too bothered to be honest. However, I will think its a shame given their very respectable history. I respect what they did in years gone by and I have bought the products that

I would suggest that the Global market for downloading media content is still very small and while technology itself may not have a long way to go, countries and cultures that adapt to it do. You are talking at least another 10-20 years. I can tell you that in Greece for example, you'd be lucky to get a reliable 512MB download speed/connection and

"...using neural intelligence to take you to music." - Could this be pointing to the use of voice activation for the BS5 perhaps? That might be quite interesting. I am just not sure about this whole move to digital technology. I appreciate this is a natural progression but I wonder how quickly and how much people will want to adapt to it anyway

  • Re: Does anybody know why B&O has got such a bad name ?

Peter: I agree. to be successful during what looks as if it will be a recession, B&O have to offer something that is unique, and repackaged products will not be enough. Products akin to the Beosound 9000 and AV9000 which stood out as something different are needed. I do hope the Beosound 5 will be such a product - but I am not sure! I am not getting

I completly agree with what you wrote AT - every word of it. I have never been a fan of the BS4 although I do know that Alex happens to love it and that's as it should be, I guess people all find different things attractive, as we do when choosing our partners. But I agree with you, it has nothing B&O about it at all. Personally I think it is
