• Re: ps3 for beovision 9

I wanted to go on with my plans the other day, and I noticed that my Avant, which I thought was king of 'em all back in the day when I bought it, does not have an IR port. The port hole is labeled, but there is no hardware, the plastic just covers up the hole, where it should be. I am a bit sad by this, but I guess I'll have to wait until I've

  • Re: Which Rear Speakers for blu-rays?

Unless money is an issue, I'd say go for the 3's. I don't know what TV/Centerspeaker you have, but as your frontspeakers have ALT, I would go for an all ALT setup. For aesthetic reasons and because I have an idea in my head, that the equipment used should be of the same technology. When I bought my rears, I actually bought a couple of BL3's

  • Re: new masterlink

Lauritz Knudsen already use cables with an ethernet plug in one end and a Masterlink/Powerlink in the other, as part of their IHC system, which is brilliant. You can see a movie about B&O in the IHC system here: Webfilm om Bang & Olufsen Powerlink (unfortunatly in danish and without any footage of the cables and the module used) [quote user
The cable that is referred to is the B&O IR emitter cable that came with your TV. It is attached to the front of the REBL. I got it from my local B&O store. But you can also order it online, if you have the B&O cable.
Thanks. I didn't get an IR cable with my old Avant, but it's nice to know
It works great, you just need to have the rebl on your STB list. Once it's paired with the PS3 it just works flawlessly.
Have you ordered yours from their website?? Because in the users guide they say that you need to use the accompanying IR transmitter cable, but in the webshop it doesn't look like such

  • Re: your next B&O buy?

My next buy will be a Beovision 9, probably a used one. I have had my Avant for 8 years now, and I would really like a larger screen and something that is HD for my PS3. I love my Avant, and the only two products in the world that can replace it, is a BV5 or BV9, because they are the only televisions that can "stand on their own", just as

  • Re: iPhone app for BeoMaster 5 / BeoMedia 1 or Beoplayer
Sonos have released an iPhone / iTouch app for their system (http://www.sonos.com/whattobuy/controllers/Default.aspx?rdr=true&LangType=2057) which is free of charge. This has to make their system even better value for money to many customers. Adrian.
I love this app, and it works so great. I'm impressed by

  • Re: Beovision 7 - 55 vs. Beovision 9

I don't hope they discontinue the BV9 just yet, I haven't had a chance to save up enough money, and it is the ONLY television for me.

  • Re: Help With Blu Ray choices

I don't know much about never beovisions, but I am certain that all players in your PUC list will turn on/off. The reason the PS3 can't is because there is no IR command to do so, you have to use the BT remote or something than simulates the signal over BT. There once was a link in a thread here on beoworld with an IR receiver that had a little
