I like these experiments very much . I have dreamed of converting a Beocenter AV5 into DVD capable TV, just because I like the opening speakers a lot.

timhanna: I see what you mean for the DVD free BV7, but i think half the wow factor is that DVD player. I guess, its probably better not to have many eggs in one basket, i.e. more seperate units since they are cheaper to replace/repair/upgrade. This is aimed at BC2 owners, whom now can go for a BV7 without having to waste 50% of its BC functionality
