  • Re: Beomaster 6000 Quad Speaker Choice

4 x Beovox 5700 is going to be large, very large indeed. Beovox 3000 panel types, not easy to come by 2 pairs of them. If you must get panel speakers, then maybe try the earlier versions P45 or p50 If you can get your hands on Beovox 3800 you should have something that its ok and is right datewise, and S60 or S75 would be be fine, actually S45-2 would

  • Re: Beovox 5700s. Free to someone who can give them TLC

I have spare pair of bass drivers, should they be required, they will need dust caps but they are in good working order.

  • Re: B&O Roundhay to close

I'm always a bit saddened when any B&O store decides to call it a day, for any reason. Thing is, this has happened before in Leeds and probably with a much higher profile, anyone remember De Cobains in the St Johns centre, that's where I got my 6500 system - I still treasure the reciepts ( odd what Beoworlders are like I suppose). They also

  • Re: Has Bang & Olufsen lost it's product MOJO?

I think a fully voice activated system might be quite interesting. Something that you can set certain commands to certain recorded sound samples of your voice, and something that can recognise its you, only you, and no-one else. I think there could be quite significant advantages to this when you imagine N-Music, imagine not having to enter numbers

  • Re: beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

Ooops, I was meaning the Beomaster 3000-2 not the turntable.

  • Re: beogram 3000-2 tuning slide

You may wel find you have a problem with the flexible circuit board at the back of the tuning presets. The copper tracks develop micro-breaks and this stops the tuning diodes from getting the necessary bias voltage. If it hasn't got this fault yet, its likely that when you poke around in there and flex the pcb this fault will develop. All you need

  • Re: How many B&O items can you find?

That is so kitsch it makes Graham Norton seem as sensible as wholemeal bread.

  • Re: How far is too far?

Seems to me that B&O are aiming for a significantly differant market. If you look at, say, a set of Pentas, then it would have taken me around 6 months to save for them - when they were new, nowadays it would take much longer for Lab5s. You could look at the same thing for almost any B&O product, MX or LX tv, how many hours of work would it

  • Re: B&O TV Why?

I find Trip's statements as getting very near to offensive. I work hard, I don't get paid anywhere near the top 20%, but I am prepared to save for a long time and build up a system. It is folk such as myself that spread the word, the values that are passed on from one generation to another, to inspire sons and daughters to look beyond the ordinary

  • Re: Speaker suggestions for a beomaster 6000

If you really want to go the whole quad, there were a number of reel to reel machines that could do it, the most recent was a Tascam machine, but a Sony TC 765 would do it too, big monster of a machine, break your back lifting it - but its dead easy to connect up. You can still pick up quad reel to reel tapes and their performance is usually somewhat
