I run a BS5 through a BV7.4 and BL5's. I am very happy with the performance of the BS5 and somewhat disconcerted with some of the criticisms levelled at it in these forums. I have had an issue with it re-booting continually for a period – this was caused by power surges in my house during peak power demand (SE Asia, air-con time). This was

Something I would find very neat would be to use the BM5 as a platform for the Beo5 Remote. Imagine programming the buttons on your Beo5 and then the icon images are automatically tagged to the Beo5 buttons, BS5 display (N.Radio especially) and possibly a similar display on your TV/BS5 with TV/SAT/Cable icons. The channels are then also ordered and

Cleo, Hi, I dont have a BV9 - so I cant give you first hand experience of how to do this. What I can give you is a couple of pointers to lookout for:- First, I hope that your BM5 is mounted inside your BV9. If not, then I can only recommend you get an approved B&O service engineer to do this for you as it requires pulling off the BS3, front and

T.W.G I dont think this problem (The best of) is unique to the BS5 or B&O. I'm perhaps not quite in the loop but this seems to be a limitation of most tag-sorting software today. I get around the problem by naming each album using the following nomclementure- "Album artist - Album name - disc x.x" So the result would look like:- "Diana
B&O "Common". Hardly!
Sorry I think it was meant (05:45 in the morning!!) to say...."Come-on!" - as in Come-on B&O..you can do better. It was me Munkey that got me log-on details wid-owt me know-win. Bad Munkey! 10%

I like the product very much. But what really gets me is the marketing approach. Common B&O...you were using "the Torture-chamber" approach 15 years ago! Cant you think of a better way to market your products. Wake-Up for pity-sake! 10%

Andre, You did not state the digital connection "out" bit before - just the Masterlink! If you do that, the BL5's will not recieve an all-digital signal but will recieve an anologue signal from the BV7 via masterlink from the BM5. If that happens, full tonal control is regained (but the sound quality is definatelty reduced) back to the
1) You can really only create 4 playlists. It is rather easy to do (navigate to the song using the wheel, hold GO until you get a menu that says "Add to favorites" and pick your color and let go), and easy to navigate (as there are only 4). IMHO, one of the main points of MOTS is that you don't *need* to create

Andre, The system described is with the Masterlink connection. The Masterlink only provides remote control and product integration. Thus, music signal from the BS5 is via SP/Dif direct to the Labs, Volume, controled via the Remote/BS5 is through the Masterlink to the Video Master (BV7), thru to Poerlink from the BV7 to the BL5's. The tonal control

Andre, I have an almost identical setup to you. (only my rear speakers are different). Your description of your setup sounds as if you have it totally correct. (or correct as in the same as mine). When you link the BL5's into a digital system (one with a digital output), you effectively lose all tonal controls and maintain volume. This is because
