Mm, and I don't want to lose two-way rc (I forgot to mention that, sorry!). Yes. it's really a shame! Those of you that still use these old LX/MXs, try connecting your DVD player or set-top box to the s-video input - prepare yourself for a nice surprise! Too bad there is only one s-video input, though. If you can't use s-video, try disabling

Ah, then I won't bother - I only use the NICAM decoder in my mx4000 (which is connected to analogue cable tv instead of digital) and that one already has s/w 1.1, and I don't have any use for that decoder setting in my LX6000. Thanks for yout reply!

I agree, the old 2000 is another example that looks better withoud wooden parts. Speaking of wooden panels and whether or not they always are the best option, I just replaced my beloved ls4500 (the one in the photo in the Beoworld products section, btw) with an lx6000 in rosewood and I like it! That said, I actually think the grey panels of the LS model
The Struer museum has a wooden sided Beogram 5000. I think it looks a bit odd!
I believe you. I never really liked the wooden 5000 that Martin showed, somehow the 5000 design looks better without wood. Some other systems, like the 80's bm6000, looks better with wood though (imho).

Hi all, I finally managed to find a rosewood LX6000 in great condition to replace my LS4500! I'm really satisfied, the pq is stunning (for an SD crt, that is), if one doesn't mind the 50Hz flickering (and I don't, I prefer that to strang 100 Hz processing artifacts). I was actually surprised by the picture quality, most other 28" LXs

Ah, interesting! Congratulations, what a nice system! Are there more "unknown" models that made it into small-scale (like the 30 prototypes you mentioned) production runs? What about that wooden Beosystem 5000 that martin has photos of, for example?

Yes, interesting! Btw, I forgot to mention that I like it - b&o or not b&o! :-) There are two reasons to why I'm not sure that it's made by b&o: 1) the glass door doesn't look b&o, and 2) the fact that it's missing from the catalogues ...but I like it, it lets the bs5000 design shine and at the same time hides all cables

How strange! I've never seen one before, I've only seen the beautiful SM50 and the not-so-beautiful ST6500/7000. It's obviously designed especially for the bs5000, but are you sure it's really made by b&o? It somehow doesn't feel like 100 % b&o
Am I missing something? Apart from the plagerism of members' articles, surely we should all be happy that there's another B&O resource online?
I agree, I think it's good with more beo-sites. Regarding your first question: Steve, who according to some is the man behind the new site (and I think

Congratulations to all the winners!
