Master Control Panel 5500 volume wheel diagnose: Make sure good batteries are in. Rotate the volume wheel. - If the MCP lights up but volume is not changed, the wheel switches are fine and the opto dead. It's a three-pin device reading the black/white pattern printed onto the side of the (inner part) of the volume wheel. The opto and its light output

Probably the one at the back as you pictured. It was on export models only for certain territories so unfortunately, I don't have a box full of them. It powers the Beogram completely off rather than leaving it in standby with no identication. Martin

Could be that the alu bar is hitting the left side cover. If that is the case, it will have to be adjusted slightly. Martin
