jandyt: Problem is, only mods can start a poll. That may be be a feature, not a bug! :)

The good news is that Dillen, one of the site's Technical Advisors, periodically has these available in new condition. Han er også dansker. :)

Did the service manual for the 2400/2400-2 ever make it online? Fixing up one now and it might be a good reference...

A few points about these: 1) They work natively only with the BeoCenter 9000 and BeoMaster 5000. Anything newer requires an (inexpensive) adaptor: http://retail1.bang-olufsen.dk/Communityaccess.asp?Produkt=6270517 2) They provide non-polarized AC switching -- whatever you plug into the back has to have equal-size prongs, not the newer polarized kind

It was originally a Sony car changer, so it will be expecting a DC input. Not sure exactly how the conversion from AC was done. Ask him for a picture of the power input, it might have the specifications right nearby. The magazines should be easy to find on ebay once you know what kind of Sony it is. Should work just fine on the 9000 as TAPE.2.
