Peter close this thread, we are now into putting a gold frame on a Panasonic, if anybody knows a forum for Panasonic please post it here and Hilton can go there, where he really belong. My short fuse is nearly igniting, and I may start out like Trip, with whoom I agree.
But why ?? For one thing
I've edited this post to be a bit less harsh. My disappointment has shifted largely from the OP, who is clearly set on doing what he's doing, to some of the BeoWorlders here. Not everyone has participated on this thread, and some have even agreed with myself, Russ, & Alex, but I'm truly disappointed

Lee & Peter, Good work guys !! I know from conversations we had ( on THAT night round Manchester, amongst others! ) that you will both have represented "the consumer" to Tue in a forthright, honest manner. Tue sound interesting......however, I have to say that back in my dealer-days, both TBS and Kalle were presented to dealers/press/consumers

alex - indeed "All loudspeakers (and hifi components for that matter) have their weaknesses/flaws" .... back in my Linn/Naim/rega days, I spent many many demonstrations trying to clarify this to would-be purchasers. A boomy speaker has a fault - it booms !!! So, certain recordings may, by chance, sound great. The flaw in the speaker can either

They excel with jazz or classical, however.
Just quoting this for the OP's sake, IMHO Jazz and Classical requires even more from the speaker than say pop music.
That is a view that has always puzzled me. The ability to recreate sound realsitically is important
