Hello and welcome to Beoworld. Where are you located? as I may be interseted in this. Craig
Bah! Beat me to it Craig. Hopefully this very generous offer will be in Leeds I agree with Peter re:- the S55's, they are amongst my favourite of this series, probably got the onset of foam rot in the bass drivers though

And HERE for setting the tracking force on a Beogram 1800 Chris.

Hi Mika, I own a SMMC4 and it is far superior to my mint B&O MMC3. I cannot comment on the soundsmith MMC3 though but I'm sure it will be a further improvement. I wouldn't bother with having your MMC2 rebuilt though as it sounds like you'll end up with something inferior to the SMMC4, you could simply remove the plastic guard from it

Hi Ed - nice find The recommended tracking force for the MMC1 is 1.0 g but if it is worn you may need to "up" it a little. I personally wouldn't go above 1.5 g though as this is the point where you should really be looking to replace the cartridge. HERE'S how to set the tracking correctly on a Beogram 1800 if you're unsure. Chris

Supporting the site is #1 on my list of benefits. I have extended my list if friends immeasurably through this site via a shared passion of all that is B&O. For me personally the access to the many user & service manuals has been a Godsend and paid membership is also a way of saying thankyou for the many pieces of free advice I have recieved

beobeo: Simply outstanding. I definitely need one for my vintage collection. Thanks for sharing these pics. I agree - Beolits are probably the most underrated of all B&O equipment. I foolishly sold a mint red Beolit 700 several years ago and have regretted it ever since. Superb collection John. Chris.

jayzjayz66: Hi Chris, Thanks a million for the advice Chris .another question for you Chris, now how hard is it to get too ? jayzjayz ( George ) Very easy to access, simply remove the bottom cover and everything is right there and accessible, you may need a TORX screwdriver though. Don't worry about opening it - nothing will fall out as everything
