I don't think anyone knows what they have in R&D and, if they did know, couldn't post on a public forum. Ever seen the trouble the various rumours sites got in to, over Apple leaks? Unless I'm wrong, the only new speaker is a cheaper subwoofer. Do B&O need new speakers? I think they've got most bases covered with the BL3, BL9

Wasn't £600 mentioned (I know £450 was originally discussed, then £700), but £600 was the latest figure from someone who asked their dealer recently.

This HD audio debate is never going to go away. I'm now wondering if I'll get the BV7-40 MKIV....to find that further HD audio support is added in those pesky sw updates, in the future ;) I'm close to finding my own B&O sw technician kit so I can do the updates myself!
They usually advise to sell it to Lifestyle AV or similar sites saying that they'll offer a better deal than B&O itself.
I tried that option. All I'd say is that you'd be better trying all options, before making a decision.

I read it as '7.1 would be output as 5.1'. Then I re-read it as 'Blu-ray discs with HD audio will be output as standard DTS'. So, I'm just hoping it's the former!
what about the version without Blu-Ray? Does it also come with 100 Hz?
Yes, absolutely. It will share the same LCD panel.
So if you want the best sound possible, choose a BV7 40 Monitor and add an external player (PS3 for instance, you get the game bonus!)
No, the PS3 is no better than the internal player. Also, I read that the PS3 is now fairly average compared to the most recent and modern Blu-ray players. ie. the picture quality

I'm a bit confused about their HD audio support. It says DTS HD and True HD are supported, but then says "Blu-ray discs with DTS HD 7.1 or DTS HD Master 7.1 will be decoded as DTS 5.1" What does that mean?
Anyone have any Idear????
Unfortunately it's green with the MKIV. Doesn't look good either. Wasn't too impressed.
