Welcome to Beoworld ! There are two fuses on the main board. I suggest you check them first. Then the main smoothing capacitor. Martin

Oh no, not again... The first thing when you test an amplifier is to choose the correct power cable for it ? And $750 power cables ? Would that be the last 2 meters, as in the distance from the wall outlet to the amplifier ? What about the 22½ kilometers to the power plant ? And the transformers and generators ? In Copenhagen, we were running

I have never seen a green tinted one. Photo please ? Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! Sounds like acoustic feedback. In other words, the record and needle acts as a giant microphone, picking up the vibrations in the air and sending them to the amplifier, which then amplifies the signal and sends it out to the speakers. Round and round it goes. Is your Beogram placed in front or too near the speakers ? On the same

I have a glass jar for things like this. Martin

Wonderful system ! Frede has done it again ! Martin

Thanks, Claus. Greatly appeciated. Having refoam'ed woofers for about 10 years, I'm quite surprised that I haven't seen this method before (and I've seen many). Call me stubborn and old fashion but I'm not convinced that simply playing a low frequency signal will center the voice coil particularly good. Besides, it's not uncommon

Yes but I wouldn't expect every Beocenter 3500 to run forever without fresh oil. The problem with the bearings is that when the oil has hardened (or been used up), the bearings and spindle will begin to run metal against metal. That will cause a drastic increase in friction and the bearings will be worn very quickly (a few hours playing time). The

Yes, could we have some details please ? I can't see how this method aligns anything, let alone how you can glue something that vibrates. My experience (several hundreds of woofers) is that everything needs to be fixed exactly in position and held tight and steady while the glue sets. Glueing is always done in two, sometimes three or four steps

I must admit to not remembering all dustcap sizes but they should be fairly large. Something like 95-100mm or so. Martin
