At a guess, this has been an evolving system. I suggest there was an older system which used MCL which was later replaced with a newer ML system. You need to decide what system you wish to use. The fact you have an ML system as well means that you are relatively free to try anything! A suggestion! I would get an MCL system for audio - a Beosystem 7000

If you are using the DVD-C you don't need the service tool - the DVD-C is a posh SCART lead with an IR sensor. The code for the DMR-E50 should work and is 06. The cards are on Beoworld but your dealer will have them too.

Lee and I picked mine up last year. I had the Beomaster, Beolab , cubes and Beogram 3000 restored. I still have my Beovox 5000s that need the treatment though they have been serviced in the UK. The quality of Frede's work cannot be exaggerated. The documentation is also fantastic. I would always recommend going to get it simply to meet Frede and

You can actually adjust the picture temperature, if you really want to through the service menu. The service manual is on site - I would echo the sentiment in the manual though - write down the original values first and make sure you have the correct equipment. I am very happy with the picture as it is. I am not sure the review site is that well respected

You can if necessary replace the mechanism and simply use the old hands. Most of these mechanisms are very similar (cheap!)

The other problem is that B&O have stopped making the circuit diagrams available so repair is more complicated. Modules are all very well but once these are no longer available, we will be stuck!
Can I start an "I dont care" team ? Doesnt really matter to me. I usually just get up off my fat *** and change the channel or adjust the volume myself.
On most Beovisions, this is impossible! There are not any volume or channel controls on the set. My least favourite remote was always the Beolink

It is actually not uncommon for one channel to fail in a stylus. It is also common to have loose contacts in a DIN plug. What you need is a working beogram to compare it with. A working cartridge would be a start but you cannot be sure which part of the pathway it was if it still did not work. A complete Beogram would allow you to replace each part

Dave - you have a rotten insurance company! You should have been given a Beo4 at the very least. The Beolink 5000 is still available as is two way so they have not replaced like with like. In this country (UK) I suggest using Hiscox as an insurer if you have high value contents. They simply replace like with like with no issues at all. The only insurance

Fantastic remote - indestructible - also very logical once you have learned the commands.
