Craig - this sounds a bit like some of the probs I had with a BC8004. Martin fixed mine and may be able to suggest something you could try yourself, as from what I understand some of these problems can have multiple causes.

Xseries: Does anyone have any particular recommendation for type of batteries to use in these remotes (apart from 3 AAA for anyone looking to provide a clever response!)? Brand and battery type eg NiCad, NiMh (low or high milli amp?), Carbon Zinc I ask as one of my BEO4s has just had the word battery appear in the LCD - though there is still some life

Mico: I am sorry but it disturbs me that people who do not have personal experience comment on issues like this. It is always hearsay to me.
