I would have the BV9 - the 7-55 is superb but is not as pretty in my view and I prefer plasma to LCD. The built in HDR2 would be an additional bonus. The lack of a DVD might be an issue though.

Both common problems and fixable. The CD has a small reed switch - if you take the top off it is fairly obvious and this needs adjusting. It sounds as if you need new belts on the Beocord and Martin (Dillen on site) can supply these if you send him a PM. You can either do this yourself or I am sure a dealer will be happy to help.

On the subject of cost, these are very very collectible. To get the very best price, the wooden box is necessary, but you have the original plastic box and carboard jacket and this is desirable as well. As Alex has said, these are able to be fixed and anyone buying this to use would realise that it will need checking. I would not worry about trying

They look like straight Beomic 5s to me. Very good ribon microphones and if they are still working will be worth a lot. They seem to sell well on eBay but sell them separately.

I agree - I clean the stylus each time I play a record and check them once in a while under a microscope for build up. Two points: 1. As stated above, don't let alcohol track up to the suspension - it doesn't like it! 2. Remember removing cartridges can cause damage - the later MMC1-5 , especially the later ones seem to have loose pins and you

Have to confess that I simply do not agree. Class D amplifiers do have certain advantages - efficiency is definitely one and the resulting reduction in need for heat sinks, but a good class AB amplifier with years of development is not to be sniffed at. I would far rather B&O spent some more money on the drivers than replace the amplifiers. It would

On my Beovision 10, the volume is usually about 50.

It will work but I would suggest you use the RF amplifier - much better picture quality. The Sky+ box needs a SCART connection to the BV7 as well as the HDMI (I expect it already does.) You will have full control upstairs.
-
I think the problem is that you need the Mac Mini also connected to the corresponding SCART socket - not sure if that is possible? The problem will be that the video will come through as S-Video.
Don't use a pair - they'll only couple and give you more volume at lower frequencies. They'll actually sound quite unpleasant at higher frequencies as you move off-axis. Stick to one speaker.
Agree with Alex - and it is good to see you! Long time no see! Hope all is well and everything is fine.
