The battery would normally be replaced by your dealer or service centre, but if you decide to disconnect it yourself, then you can find instructions for doing it HERE

Phil, Given your answers I would make the following comments and ask these questions:- When the units were sent back to your dealer I am assuming they were sold to someone else, or returned to Denmark. I would be asking the dealer if the problem has ever shown up with the units you had returned. Has the dealers engineer actually seen the fault occur

Tony, The following is what I provided you in a PM a couple of days ago. There is at least two types of power supply and transformer, I do not know which you have so I am including the drawing for both below:-

Tony, Did you not see the circuit diagrams I posted with the output details ?

I have never seen this type of problem on Beosound 9000's and as you say you have had replaced three times and the B&O engineer has been to your home and looked into the problem, so it can only be one of three possible issues as follows: Dust or other environmental condition which you have discounted, but must remain a possible cause. You clearly have a problem with your system and the fact that you feel you are the only one with the problem does not mean that there is no fault. As stated by many others, your configuration should work perfectly and I suggest we investigate the problem in further depth and get the dealer to resolve it for you rather than using the Pronto solution

I have never heard of "Apercu" except in the French, of aperçu which means "a perception or insight or a synopsis" Whilst many people think that the old Windows BMP format is quite simple, in my view it is not. It can be created in many forms including compressed and uncompressed and generally the files produced are large

Klas, When you buy a Beo5 from a B&O dealer he/she will normally configure it to your requirements using the Beo5 Configuration software tool. This software tool is intended for dealers use only, but many provide it to their customers and if you wish to customise it yourself you will need to ask your dealer for a copy of the software.
