i think i'll make my mind up when they reconnect the BS3200 on saturday
And, and? :) Let us know what you think. I'm interested in the differences between, say, my BC2 and the BS5. With the 10% price increase kicking in within two weeks, us Brits need to make decisions....fast. So, your experience of

I think mobile phone development requires a huge amount of development time, energy and finance. These are areas that B&O could spend on their key products. Why on earth would B&O attempt to compete with the iPhone and similar smartphones? The market is more difficult now than it was a couple of years ago. It would require some serious software

Hmm. I've see Casiono Royale (Blu-ray) on my 1080p-based BV7-40 and it wasn't as good as on the brand new 100Hz BV8-40. I thought the movement and camera panning was far better (thanks to the 100Hz screen). However, this better panning can make the picture look a bit more 'cartoon like' simply as it's so effective. On your old BV6

BTW, engineers should always check the sw has 'taken' before they leave. Perhaps you should try and bill your dealer for your wasted time? :)

Yep, exactly what I thought - sw hasn't taken properly which means it's probably reverted back to factory defaults? It happens. With me, an engineer updated the software on two occasions, went to leave, I asked him to double-check and found the sw hadn't 'taken'. He had to re-upload!

I've got to be honest - I'm panicking a bit that sw updates will be needed after I receive the BV7-40 MKIV to solve HD audio issues. I can see it now... I guess the old Batman may not show white flashes as either it's a standard definition DVD (I'm assuming it's Blu-ray though) and/or the format of the picture differs size-wise from

It's not anything outside of your TV as many of us found on here, it's related to 1080p mode (only Blu-ray or PS3 applicable) and was 'fixed' in a sw 4.xx update, quite a while back. You need to get your dealer to expedite this as it must be a software problem.
-
That's the same sw as mine, but I don't get those flashes (and I only watched Dark Knight the other day) any more. They plagued me for ages though, I must admit!
It comes with beo5 (UK) so it's very good value - for B&O!
I agree. However, I find it bizarre that they give users a free Beo5 for a £3600 TV, but do not with the BV7-40, BV9 or other expensive purchases. If they're going to run such an offer, they should across these TVs, too!

No, I can categorically state there are no flashes here with the 5.08a update (nor since the v4.xx update, last November!). I watch a lot of Blu-ray movies, use the PS3 in 1080p mode etc and all the flashes are gone (and they were all related to 1080p mode). However.....are you sure the flashing has been done correctly! I've had two instances where
