• Re: Is it just my idea?!

I haven't really noticed - except when the starting price is totally off the scale, or the item is pickup only in Greenland, or impossible in some other way... or mislocated/misspelled bad enough that not even one eligible bargain hunter can find them. Shocking as it may come to some sellers, there are items with "Bang & Olufsen" printed

  • Re: Talk me into/out of buying BS5
The only realy downsides: - Ripping your CD collection is stupid, hard work :-)
Not that hard on an industry standard computer... configure WMP to rip automatically when a disc is inserted. Then insert disc, wait until it is ejected, repeat until you have no more CDs. Tedious, but not hard Tagging & album art

  • Re: Now you can experience Jacob Jensen in the afterlife..............

Why on earth would he undertake such a project
Can't believe that my "UNDERTAKE" comment didn't bring about a flurry of funerial puns. Perhaps it was just to deep, like 6 feet deep!
It's useless if it isn't AirPlay compatible.

  • Re: Help with Beovox 1200

Welcome to the forum! If you still have them together with the wires crossed, I believe the wrong one would be rather obvious after just listening to them. Alternatively, the negative wires are almost certainly connected together at the crossover and with the negative pole (spade) of the DIN connector. I'd expect the black be negative to the woofer

  • Re: Jensen has lost his touch
B&O just announced this on there Website today. LINK
Good choice putting a BV8 in the background - it's probably the only thing from the current selection that goes well with that. Have to say I like the Jensen cube a lot as well. I was also under the impression that the man himself doesn't

  • Re: What Are You Working On Now ?

Actually nothing since I got my Dirigent working! I'll return to it however in a while... Next one in queue is a safety checkup on the Beolit 41 - it works suprisingly well, but a peek inside revealed some horrifying wiring. After that I'll probably finally recap the CD4 decoder / RIAA board in my Beogram 6000. The Beolab 5000 pieces need attention

  • Re: Getting a better understanding of B&O capabilities

Yes, it is a zip file, which contains an .exe file I believe this weirdness is because at some point, the content management system on site didn't directly allow delivering executables. All it's made for is delivering documents.

  • Re: Getting a better understanding of B&O capabilities

It's a Windows program, not a document - so not directly useful to you, unless you have a Windows emulator on your Mac.

  • Re: More expensive than when it was new!

I can accept that it probably is mint and comes with all the vintage plastic bags and wrappers etc you'll be proudly displaying in your living room... but still, what is wrong with all those people?

  • Re: Connecting a BeoCenter 6-26 to PS3 via YPbPr

Standard DVI does not carry audio at all, so don't waste your time trying - it's not a limitation of the BC6, but the connection itself. As I understand, the settings in the BC6 allow you to get video input from either the DVI or component (YPbPr) connector, but audio needs to come from somewhere else. This is where you need the AV sockets.
