  • Re: How to save Bang & Olufsen

You know, RussR, your new avatar is bound to throw people off the trail. No one would be able to trace our location to the US, as the little information of our personal lives indicates that we once occupied the same homeless shelter. The A5 is a dead giveaway that we're western European vagabonds. The American dole would barely get you a Mustang

I like this much better! Filet Mignon! Ghostbusters!

This may sound a but odd, but not everyone's definition of "quality" is the same. The BeoSystem 3's video processing is set to produce the most organic image possible. Very often this means that the image will be less "intense" in color and contrast than what you would see on a traditional LCD. This is clearly a matter of

What if BeoWorld members just showed up in Struer ready to work? What could go wrong?

Can't there just be a code word for that entire argument? LIke if I say Pork Chops it means "you can get better quality for less money!" And when I say Ghostbusters, it means "I dare you to produce an example of a speaker and amplifier combination that rivals a BeoLab for the same money or less!" It would take up so much less

Totally on point, methinks. I look at Netflix & Blockbuster here in the US as well as Bit Torrent and think, "These guys don't really want to be in the hardware business, but stowing away on X-Boxes or PS3s doesn't make that much more sense." If we gave them a software environment to build for, why wouldn't they? Especially

benjnz, this is really and issue that I feel is confronting everyone. The singularity! The convergence! So many services and devices and no thought has been given to a universal operating system. An OS for your television. Whether they're programs running in a software environment or boxes connected with USB, there has to be a better way. Whenever

Carbon Fiber? Good god. I resign from this argument. I would like to continue the thread for a few more pages and hear from a few more people on their thoughts on my suggestions as well as their own suggestions. I think there is a lot to offer from this group and would love someone in the Danish hinterlands to read something more than to simply make

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here. I don't necessarily disagree that it is the prices that are the problem full stop. But I also don't think value for the money is the issue. There are no better made pieces of kit in the AV world than B&O. Our metalwork alone is in a class by itself. So fit and finish is really not the issue
