The "what made you fall in love with B&O" thread put a lot of smiles on my face -- and I do find many reasons to be cheerful across the board. This is a well known phenomenon - companies don't have a "Congratulate Us" department, they operate a Complaints Dept. I am, for instance, perfectly aware that when I link to the "dealer

"Honey ... I'd like to move the furniture a little, will you give me a hand? I think the TV is better over there."

I think that what we're actually discussing/touching upon is the fact that B&O has some very clear challenges cut out for itself, and that this challenge is particularly evident when it comes to televisions where the rate of change has been enormous in recent years -- after decades of CRT being the standard and B&O easily being able to come

I don't think the comparison between them and B&O stacks up. LV products are sold almost exclusively for the name alone. With B&O I think yes, the name has impact amongst many people (although

I find some of the gripes here hard to understand, and think Tom raises an important point. However, more and more consumers are taking a look at their traditional spending patterns and realizing that it's just silly to spend lots of money just to keep up with the Joneses in a status game, and this new awareness is cutting into the traditional luxury

The remote control of the Beocenter 7007 I bought in 1983. It was magic - I could control everything from different rooms in my flat, in 1983! Seem to remember it looked like this one?

The quality of sound possible from B&O active speakers is such that it would be a shame to just run a minijack to speakers analog connection from you laptop to the speakers. There are various soundcards and DACs you can use. (Digital-to-Analog Converters.) Or else you can connect your speakers to a stand-alone receiver which has in-built DACs. Mac
