Alex: What makes you say that? I was in the market for a new TV a while back which gave me a chance to really look at the competitors products and nothing came anywhere near a BeoVision 9, both in terms of standard definition and high definition performance. Come on Alex. I know you have a connection with B&O, but aren't you a sixth-former?

Electronic - 'Getting away with it'. Genius track :)

Nice photo Geoff! I have everything shown in my collection, with the exception of the Beocenter. I have a BM 8000 in my living room with a Beogram 4002, Beogram CDX, and Beovox Pentas. In one of my spare rooms upstairs I have a full Beosystem 6000 (BM 6000, BG 8002, BC8004 and MC120.2s) plus a Beogram CDX2, and in the main bedroom a full Beosystem 5000

4x Beolab 5s to use with the Avant in DSS mode?

Craig: As you are in the U.K. I would recommend Tim Jarman. You should be able to contact him via the Beocentral website. Craig I'd second that - Tim's not far from you either as he's based in Farnborough.

A14BEO: Puncher: A question from an interested observer, since you brought it up, how well do pre-owned BV7 MKI's sell compared to Avants (or do you still even sell MKI models anymore)? ....unlike Avants, which seem to have dropped considerably over the past few months. Does this mean you'll be dropping the asking prices for Avants at Lifestyle

ducha: I do have a Beomaster 8000, but it is not working at present. I don't know if its worth putting the money into to having it serviced, so for now, my user system is the 6500. If you don't think the 6500 will properly drive the M100s, then I guess I will regretfully pass on the purchase. Thank you, Aaron I have a BM8000 that I use with

Hello Aaron I think the answer is not really. Of all the B&O amps, probably the Beomaster/Beolab 5000 combo from the late 1960s, the Beomaster 4000 and 4400 from the 1970s, and the Beomaster 6000 or 8000 from the 1980s would be best to handle these speakers. Peter uses a Beomaster 4000 with his M100s I think, and I'm sure would be able to offer

Err...getting back on track, here's a nice B&O story: Tomorrow afternoon at 15:00 I will be listening to the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from King's College, Cambridge, on Radio 4 here in the UK. I'll be using my lovely old 1960 B&O Jet Present 607 valve radio to listen on FM - how cool is that? FM on a 48 year old set!

soundproof: Here´s a Christmas contest. Find an official bit of communication from B&O, from the past two-three years, where Jacob Jensen and his contribution to the brand is highlighted ... find stores where the past is highlighted, and where you have working classic products. Spot on Soundproof. I switched between watching TV on my RF Avant
