  • Re: Configuration tool: Firmware downgrade / "old" B&O equipment

Francis, With regards to your two questions, my answers are:- Once the firmware in the Beo5 has been updated, it cannot be downgraded subsequently. The only way you can download a working configuration is to use the Beo5 Configuration Tool version 2.20 You can configure older audio products such as the Ouverture by using the template called "Audio1"

The Beosound controls are shown below

  • Re: STB-list

As you have already noted, there is not much available in terms of DVD players controlled by the STB-C However, you may wish to consider a B&O DVD controller which will control the following DVD players:- Onkyo DV-S525 Panasonic DMR-E50 Panasonic DMR-E53/DMR-E55 Panasonic DVD-A360 Panasonic DMR-EH54D Philips DVD950 Philips DVDR70/DVDR75 Philips

  • Re: Virgin V+ Control via Beo4

Controlling the Virgin V+ with the Beo5 is no problem provided you have line of sight or an infra-red extender. So, in my view your options are:- Purchase a Lintronic box and use it to map codes from an existing STB code in the AVANT to the Virgin V+ requirements which would allow it to work in a link room. Purchase a Beo5 and an IR extender so you

  • Re: Beovision 1 STB and Beolink Converters

With regard to the STB-C in your Beovision 1-L, table version 2.5 is quite old and most (if not all) freeview boxes listed can only be purchased second hand. Having said that the Humax boxes are in my view most likely to be useable with the old Humax codes as all there boxes appear to use standard NEC protocol infra-red codes and have all the basic

  • Re: Beosund 9000 issue - advice needed

Phil, As discussed, we seem to have now identified the core issue which does appear to be a software problem in the Beosound 9000, the fact that no one else has previously reported it other then you, does not mean there is not a problem. After doing some further research, I think the problem is likely to occur, not at the 200 titles level, but 255 point

  • Re: BeoVision 1 - squiggily lines :-(

Guy, Based on your "Problem Statement" it sounds like the Vertical scan oscillator has failed. Switch the TV off for 5 minutes and then switch it on to an analogue channel even if you have no aerial or signal. What do you have on the screen now. Please provide as much detail as possible.

  • Re: Beosund 9000 issue - advice needed

Phil, Thank you for your answers and the last section for me provides some key clues to your problem:- You said:- I am convinced it's something to do with the variety of cds I play. I notice that when I first load a cd the unit either does not read it as in the fault mentioned or it takes a while to start playing (almost as though it's scanning
