  • Re: Apple TV - What PUC Software Version does Fast Scrolling

Would you mind posting your softwareversion of the STB / TV. Since BV9 is BS3 based as is BV7 we might get lucky.

I think basic control like up down left right might be possible. With BV7 MKIII there was a new STB controller introduced and I am guessing you will need that one. Besides Kjeld, nobody really managed to get teh fast scrolling work and without it's not really useable. Cheers JK

  • Re: Hi all...

I am assuming you want new, current product. When I bought it 2 years back, the Beolab 3 Beolab 2 combination was in my opinion an excellent value. Now with the recent price increase in the US and the BL3 beeing priced at 3900$ I would probably look at BL9. If you are on a budget, used BL4000 would be my choice, even though the design doesn't win

Gruesse Jk

  • Re: DVDPEDIA

The NAS raid stuff is actualy not that expensive. An infrant NAS with two 500GB disks upgardeable to 4 is 900$. Buffalo is clearing out NAS with four 250gb drives for 500 or 600 ot something like that. The infrant one offers a dynamic security level, if it recognises a harddisk failure it will move teh data to the dedicated spare. Some of these including

  • Re: BS5 Any news???

Going back to the Linn. That thing, that display is not a remote. Its a Samsung Mini PC. http://www.linn.co.uk/images/library/5bfc0a8c-.jpg So you buy a NAS and a notepad PC and that box.

  • Re: beo5

I did not like it based on looks. Now that I touched it and played with it, I would consider it if they give me the software. Thing is, they won't for now and even if they com out with one it would not run on my mac. There was rumoring that there will be a Beo4 replacement, a simpler remote. Let's face it many of us won't need the Beo5.
