So I was flipping through the service manual last night and I found the explanation of the speaker IN sockets. But it didn't fully help me understand. Can someone summarize the proper use of this feature and benefits? thx
Got to my BM 2400
On the bottom left corner, is that a toroidal power supply?

Thank you for the compliment, Gustavo.

Well shoot Alex, way to ruin my good mood!!! The 3000-2 is definitely my favorite amp out of all the ones I own. Mine is rosewood and is in near perfect condition. Don't know how I'm living without it really! I like the 4000 too, pretty much all the slider systems!

Here is one I did recently BeoSystem 4500 http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/35472.aspx I consider it refinement, not sacrilege.

Ok! Welcome back ladies and gentlemen! I have a 4 day weekend so I thought I would try and get this project going again and hopefully get a little progress made. I just removed the wood panel and I can confirm that this unit has never been opened ever before. I happened to look back at the inside of the wood panel and found an unopened yellow envelope

Recently my favorite is the iPod touch placed horizontally into the BeoSound Overture tape deck area.

After the first few people I've shown my Serene to, I have decided not to let anyone else touch it! When I demonstrate it, people think it makes a sound to appear motorized! My Serene hasn't gone into lack jaw mode. (Knock on wood!!!) I have seen that video on youtube, before I got my Serene even. Didn't scare me!! (Keeps knocking on wood

I have always wanted to do something similar. I am always thinking of neat things to do with old Beo. Never acted on an idea yet, I want to really badly but, like you Craig, have no time!

There are remote controlled ones out there. Not sure if that will help, they require line of sight so will need to be seen by the remote and the user. Maybe use an ir extender lead to allow you to hide the box. Just move the receiver ir led to somewhere on or near the BeoSound, and add a little wire. Good idea?
