I don't know whether this would be a suitable topic for a Wednesday discussion, Andy! What is pretty certain is that there weren't many Shakespeares proffering suggestions to B&O for the BL9 tagline. But it's quite funny to read through the ones that are there. I understand that the next competition is for the BL3. What's that going

When it rains it pours! I received my similarly shaped accolade in the post today, in a completely different country. Good timing, Lee! And thanks to everyone for the nod. Deeply appreciated. Congratulations, Keith!

jonnyb: soundproof: Gentlemen, Respect for The Bard, please. His name is Shakespeare -- and therefore it should be Shakespeare's many plays. Ah. Except that Shakespere spelled his own name in a number of different ways. Shakespeare as the common spelling has just gained currency by sheer repetition. The Elizabethans (and Shaky himself) spelled it

Yes, noticed that - and wondered whether they'd managed to put in a fix after ambling over to this thread. Who knows? Should have gone with this one: Penguins on deck! Front and center!

Gentlemen, Respect for The Bard, please. His name is Shakespeare -- and therefore it should be Shakespeare's many plays. Merchant of Venice. All that glisters is not gold; Often have you heard that told: Many a man his life hath sold But my outside to behold: Gilded tombs do worms enfold. Had you been as wise as bold, Young in limbs, in judgement

It kind of shows up one of B&O's great weaknesses, they're so hung up on what

I know what you mean in your description, but I thought I would just make certain: I find the image quality on the BV8 to be very good. I get an RGB signal from my STB, and that resolves excellently; and the HDMI input from the AppleTV is likewise shown very well. The speaker bar creates an interesting illusion at times - you get the impression that

The advertising aggregator sites you work with could be instructed to deliver contextualized ads, that are relevant to each forum, if you wish, and that are even relevant to the country of origin of BeoWorld members. I wouldn't mind ads in the forum sections -- it's used by many enthusiast sites without being intrusive in the least. Have a look at The Truth About Cars, for instance -- or even major broadcasting corporations. They manage to make it work excellently - and I find it actually adds to the experience. (And then they are easy to ignore if that

tournedos: I've never liked the design idea of triangles hanging off of tv screens, but I have to say this looks quite good. It would also nicely cover my window, so I could choose the scenery & weather! And you can even have a camera outside your house, showing your favourite view, on your screen! He-he.
