If you have a "Type" 1653 then you have a US version wired for 120 volts. The wiring links on the transformer are shown below, but if the primary of the transformer is open circuit as you previously said, then you will need to purchase a new transformer from B&O.

The AC3 module used in the Beovision 3 is totally different to the one in a Beocentre 1 both in terms of functionality, internal connections and most importantly number of Powerlink sockets, i.e. 2 on the Beocentre 1 and 5 on the Beovision 3. So, the answer to you question is NO
