There aren't many: 100Hz screen and updated (ie. newer) LCD panel. Perhaps some other minor tweaks that B&O have learnt since the release of the MKIII? As I said many times, I've seen the BV8-40 and it performs well. Better than my MKIII BV7. With this in mind, I'm assuming the MKIV will definitely be a step up. I receive mine Tuesday
Im hopeing it will have the new sound board in it?
Someone 'in the know' on here mentioned that the MKIV doesn't ship with the new sound board, sadly. My only worry with the BV7-40 MKIV is the ambiguous DTS HD 7.1 is down-converted to 5.1, on the B&O website. Does that mean that DTS HD 7.1 is
I can then just get a used pair, which would remain uneffected (to a slight degree) to the price hike?
The used prices for BL5s make them a viable prospect. They are too cheap second hand, in my opinion. Whenever they've come on-sale, they go within days or weeks at the most. Now they'll be £13K

Yep, and mine is here next Tuesday, too!

No, like the BL5s you can simply turn down the volume or adjust the bass. Still means explosions will be significant, although no worse than the BL2 (with the BL9s). The thing is with the BL5s - and I'm guilty of this - is that I think people buy them because 'they can' or as 'they've always wanted them' rather than the aural
BL3 + BL2 OR BL9
As I also said by PM, there isn't too much of a difference between BL3+BL2 compared to BL9s in the same situation. I had my BL3s and BL2 connected up and then decided to get the BL9s (and disconnect the BL2). Wasn't a huge amount difference. BL2 offered more bass though, but didn't

Hi Tim, As I said via PM, the problem with the BL5s is that they are designed for a large space, with solid floor. My room is approx 5m x 8m and that's too small. The other problem is that the close proximity of the furniture can call calibration issues, from my experience. There seems to be an obsession with getting BL5s are the moment. BL5s are
I may be missing something, but I fail to see what the news is and what this fuss is all about. I thought it has been clear for months
Exactly my point, you are absolutely right. Stars shouldn't take our reaction personally as I/we're simply surprised, after the new CEO made it clear that there would
So decision made, I'm not going to buy it ...YET.
I don't think I will, either. I had the idea of getting it before the 10% price increase (after this, it will be around £4100!), but then realised I'd be better just buying another Beosound 4 from, say, Lifestyle (£1500 or so) and connecting
Surely it is a case of disconnecting a DigOut Coax and Powerlink Cable on the BC2 and connecting them to the BM5? Should take no more than 10 seconds to swap over? 10%
No, I mean that I'd have to grab it from my dealer after they close, then return before they open the next day - a lot of hassle for
