Have you the timer turned on in the MX7000? I seem to remember that this should allow the speakers in the TV to work when the timer activates on the 5500.

I know - my AV2 expander is the same! You could get a two pin mains strip - I use one for my Beolab 5000 system as the units all have two pin plugs and I want to keep them original.

The CD50 is a complex beast but is likely to have a problem with the belt for the transport. The other common fault is that the motor for the CD transport needs servicing. Well yes, but that is a mains transformer, not a plug. Probably simpler to get an adaptor.

In my view, no. The S120 could be another matter though I still doubt you would like them as much as what you have. I have a review of the S80.2 from Hi-Fi Choice - not very promising!

You are certifiable!! The thought of shipping these around the world is simply unbelievable! I actually have some MS150s which I am thinking of letting go but they are the Mark 1s and therefore of less interest to you! However I would say that although these are good speakers, they are not that good! I would see what there is available in your area
