Hi Friedmett As you know, I have a BM 6000 and 8000. Both are in fully working condition and sound great. I also bought a part-working 6000 Quad a few months ago. Only three of the channels were working, and the tone controls were broken. I did manage to hook the thing up to a source (CDX) and it sounded ok. It's currently with TIm Jarman for repair

...they're not that similar looks-wise I'm afraid. The Compact is about 1/3 smaller than the RG, and is much more valuable because its styling is very clean and will fit in most contemporary interiors most elegantly. The RG is a little more clumsily styled in my opinion. I sold a fully working 900RG in rosewood that I had repolished, so was

I like the bottle opener.

Try sending Martin Olsen (known as Dillen on this forum) a PM. He can supply belts with fitting instructions for the Beocord. Relatively straight forward to fit them too :)

One for the collectors out there: Not seen a soldier yet on this thread, but let me introduce you to Peter, my B&O drummer. He's in charge of guarding my Beo4 and the Terminal 3000 in the background that I use with my Beomaster 8000 (because I haven't found a Beolab Terminal yet!)

Jandyt: I gather John, that you have quoted Hippocrates in your signature. Does this mean you have taken the Hippocratic oath, and you will soon start conversing in Latin with Peter? Andy T. I suspect not - 'tis the motto of my medical school, and roughly translates as 'art is long, life is short' which I kind of buy into as I'm fast

The Plumber: Lounge Mark - I really like this, and remember enjoying reading your thread when you were doing this room. Just goes to show that B&O can look good in a 'normal' sized living room and not just in some cavernous loft space. I love the BS9000 in that alcove - spot on!
-
Alex: The plan is to match it with a BeoGram 1000, but only once I've had the 900 restored fully. They look and sound ok together - I had a Beomaster 900 RG (essentially a BM 900 and BG 1000 in a piece of furniture) and was really surprised how good it sounded. You'll be sending things to Tim Jarman soon - the sign of a true collector ;)

nmartin771: John, now it follows interesting part.... searching and choosing .... I saw on lifestyle they have BG3500 and BG5500, but now I need to see can I conect tham via aux or ..... I thing is for sure I want mint! Maybe you have some sugestion ? I have a BG4002, 5005 and 8002 in my collection Martin, but I suppose it depends on what you want to
-
nmartin - you should go for it! Which Beogram are you planning on getting? (the one in the photo is a BG 4002). Alex - the Beovoxes are 1000s. Very nice sounding, and look very good laid out on their sides next to the Beomaster. Incidentally, I bought it off eBay in 2004 on a slack day at work. I was already into collecting nice old things in A1 condition
