I don't think anyone has received their BV7-40 MKIV yet (mine arrives next week), so no-one can report whether it's worth the upgrade or not. All I can say is that I've seen the new BV8-40 and the picture was better than my current BV7-40 MKIII. Just. Whether the BV7-40 MKIV is another step up from your BV7-40, and thus worth the extra money

I bought the quite superb Giotto recently - after buying numerous 'cheap' espresso makers over the last 10 years: http://www.rocket-espresso.it/ I can't speak more highly of this espresso maker. I did some research before buying and it was rated higher than just about anything else. I can't find any fault. Expensive, but will pay for

I have a really old Mac Mini which still has the old PowerPC version of Mac OS X installed. However, as a streaming media server, this is sufficient. You can probably pick one up on eBay for next-to-nothing. On the Mac Mini is OS X, of course, plus the latest iTunes. That's it! I then have two iPod Touch devices, one for upstairs and another for
Thanks :) Apparently the red lines just denote the modules that have just been updated and not that they are not installed correctly. Lets see, in 10 mins, im off to find out :)
Not here, no red lines. Also, I'm sure the guys who said red lines mean that the sw isn't installed properly, are telling
it just goes to show how important warrenties are!
Erm, my dealer won't fix sw issues themselves, at their cost, even under warranty. I had to get an official B&O engineer out to fix my BV7 sw issues!
Any other advise guys?
Tim, we can't offer you any more advice. You just need to be more tough with both your dealer and B&O. Don't accept 'no' or 'it works' as answer and sort it out with them. We can't make it work remotely. Only your dealer can do that for you.
Alarm clock sounds interesting, not sure on the watch though, I can't see too many B&O owners not already having a nice dress watch.
Yep, there's no way B&O are going to go down the wrist watch route. According to Fox.com, wrist watches are within the top ten technologies they think will disappear

I once had a demo of Casino Royale on Blu-ray (yep, there's a theme here...) on the BV4-65 with the BL5s, in the Bath store. In the part where there is a big explosion on the construction site, near the start of the film, the Bath store nearly exploded. People on the street, looking in to the store, wondered if something had exploded in the store

Yep. I'd better start putting money away for a BV7-40 MKV! Easter 2010 anyone?

Whilst B&O are just launching their state-of-the-art 100Hz panels, Panasonic launch their 600Hz panels. Just seen the ad. No more motion blur (according to them). Info here: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Televisions/VIERA-2009-HDTVs-Series.130502_11002_7000000000000005702
