Nice work John, like your little resistor friend BTW. Craig
Cheers Craig Fliss knitted him for me. He's also got a friend called Captain Capacitor. Next time I do anything like this I'll have to wheel him out :)
Very nice John. You should name your resistor

Price will depend on shipping costs - where are you located? Chris.

Enjoy it John, I saw him live at Old Trafford & Bridlington and he was just brilliant - thanks for the link Plumber. Chris.

This sounds like a fairly standard reply from B&O who's service departments tend to just replace modules rather than repairing at component level these days. The CD5500/6500 & 7000's are reallly quite robust and are not prone to laser failure. Look HERE and I think you may find the answer to your problem. Chris.

Sorry but gold B&O is just horrible Only people with rococo or baroque designs will ever buy this stuff and IMO these are styles which should never have been allowed happened in the first place. Styles which were financed by the idle/priveleged rich striving for oneupmanship and generally paid for on the backs of the poor & towntrodden masses

I agree with Andy - very nice inheritence and a Beolink 1000 is a "must have" item to go with this. If you are set on having 2 way com's then the beolink 5000 would be the best alternative but they are quite easily damaged whereas the Beolink 1000 can be used as a hammer!! Tuning radio stations isn't straightforward with the beolink

BL5 BL9 BS9000 I mostly agree with Flappo though, other than the BL5's the current range don't float my boat as some of the vintage stuff does. Take something as recent as the BC9500 where the magic was everywhere from how it functioned right through to the design compared to the black boxes offered by its competitors - no contest. But the OP

Hi and welcome to Beoworld Thank you for supporting the site with your silver membership it is very much appreciated. These motors are no longer available I'm afraid but I do have a used one which will replace yours. I'm not exactly sure what model of Beogram turntable it came from as many used the same motor so you may need to swap the pully

It was won by one of our esteemed members. The location was Dent which has the highest mainline rail station in England (1150 ft above sea level), it is on the famous Settle - Carlisle railway.... just thought you may all want to know that for the next pub quiz Chris.
