I am selling my MS150s. These are the biggest and best passive loudspeaker made by B&O. They were restored professionally after I bought them and have had a very quiet life since. This actually is a mistake as the protection relay was stuck but luckily a well known B&O author has remedied this and they are now working perfectly. They are finished

I am selling my 8000 system. This comprises: Beomaster 8000 with remote Beogram 8002 with MMC2 Beocord 9000 These are in good condition and there is also the stand. I also have Beovox MS150s to go with them. All are finished in rosewood. This is the system pictured on Beocentral. The Beocord has had a rosewood surround to replace the teak one.Make me

I have decided to sell my Beosystem 7000. I never use it and it is a waste. It is in good condition, comes with the original packaging, except for the Beolink 7000, and comprises of the following: Beomaster 7000 Beogram CD7000 (TDA1541A DAC) Beocord 7000 Beogram 7000 with MMC2 Beolink 7000 These are the actual items shown on Beocentral - if you watch

Agree - for detail get the 8000 though be aware they get a bit shrieky at high volumes. The Beolab Penta could be described as a bit warm and veiled in comparison, but they don't shriek!

Being more sensible, I would always take the 4000 with a MMC20CL cartridge. The weight of the platter helps and I prefer the sound of the 20 series cartridges. I would have a 1700 radial deck over either of the other two mentioned. The other choice would obviously be an 8002 or 8000, but I would still take the 4000.

Oh, and no displays in the Beovox Pentas.

Given the choice, the Beolab Pentas are the ones to get. The 9500 has a relatively small amplifier - about 30W a channel (don't start me on the claimed 85W!) and the Pentas do take a bit of driving. The 5500 is a bit more powerful (55W! per channel) but the Beolab Pentas have 150W. It allows the speakers to have plenty of reserve - most of the time

True, though these decks often attract a considerable premium. The external RIAA will work just fine - make sure the earth is attached - the 3200 has not got datalink so you cannot remotely control the turntable.

By the way, lovely deck! I use 4000 type decks partly because they sound good and partly because they are so well made that it is a tactile pleasure every time!
