Yes, it will work. The components of these systems talk to each other in the same way even if the remote is different. Note that CD6500 and CD7000 could look annoyingly different from the Beomaster to you - the alu parts are polished instead of brushed. Otherwise you're free to choose any one of these.

256 vs 320 kbps already makes a big difference. Depending on the compressor, the first is barely enough, but the latter is usually quite OK and close enough to lossless for most purposes. Not quite fair to expect some kit to create wonders of something that just isn't there.
