I think the subwoofer output will be disabled, when you assign the front speaker outputs to BL5. LFE channel will be routed to the front speakers - to BL5. If you were missing bass on the BL5 maybe the speakers were not correctly calibrated...(?) Stefan

As said V.OPT 1 and A.OPT 1 . Beosound 5 MUST be assigned as no audiomaster, which means, no option programming possible. Two audiomasters in one masterlink system are NOT possible. BTW, BS5 will not (yet) understand option 6. Stefan

Agree with elephant. Seems to be an option problem. Set V.OPT 1 and A.OPT 1. BS3000 must be audiomaster, BS5 no audiomaster. Now when you choose a video source you control just the Avant and vice versa - hope this helps. Stefan
