    You are right - beautifully built - all diecast chassis and sliding fittings. The only weak parts seem to be the pulley for the arm which can split and the plastic washers on the bracket for the wood surround. I love the way you can dismantle the whole thing down to constituent parts with a small spanner and screwdriver. Last of the real engineering

    Press the stand by button first. Press SHIFT, MENU. You will get Terminal Set Up? shown on the screen. Press PLAY. You will then get VIDEO TWO WAY shown on the screen. Use the up and down keys to toggle to what you want and then press PLAY to accept. It will then do Audio and press PLAY again to accept. Finally press PLAY one more time to store the

    You can still get the Beolink 5000 new if that is what you want. I think the 7000 is far better though and would get your one repaired - there are a few hardy souls who will do this!

    I now have a number of offers - I will favour someone buying the whole lot - the price for everything 'as is' is £1000 including the speakers and stand and I dare say I can find some speaker wire with the correct plugs as well and I will even provide a ribbon aerial! I will do some pictures either tonight or tomorrow of each item but they

    They have different part numbers but they are the same size. You may need to swap brackets but definitely possible.

    A few expressions of interest - not unreasonably requesting prices so I will add the following: Best offer! I am happy selling it separately as well. I suppose ball park figures: Beogram 8002 with perfect MMC2 - has just been serviced by Tim Jarman - good lid (unusual!) and all the double sided tape has been replaced with decent adhesive. £250

    I agree with you - for someone who wants to listen to vinyl, the 1700 is a real treat and very well priced. Also very little to go wrong!
