Do I detect irony upon irony in this thread? The problem is that many of us are willing to pay good money for attractive and compatible, easy to use equipment. But some of us want to go much further and play around with upgrading already expensive equipment with even more expensive components. I take my hat off to the technical input of contributors

The price at the Liverpool store is £300. Opman
That would put it at $495.00 in the US?
Precisely what I paid for my Bose Wave Radio/Cd Player. Which will not be displaced from my bedstand by a Beotime any time soon.
I

OK. Having found and gone through the 4.01 listing of receivers, it looks as if the Topfield 4000 PVR might be one of the few receivers still in production on this list and suitable for UK satellite reception. Any experience on this forum of using this receiver for Freesat (i.e. all FTA channels from ASTRA 28.2?) Any better alternative satellite receivers

Not sure I agree with the objections to the (apparent) lack of permanent illumination. Mobile phone screens or even a permanently-on tiny led charging light can be really annoying at night in some circumstances. If you know where the Beotime has been placed, particularly if on its stand or holder and within easy reach, what's wrong with having to
Another nice day for the B&O share: it hit already 74,00 DKK, which is close to the original price (80 DKK) before the offering effectively split it in April. The new shares, which were sold for 19 DKK, are a pretty good deal by now (+289 %)...
Mika, Suggest you start a new thread on this: that 50% down
I have the same problem with my BC1. I am desparately trying to find a STB that i can use with its stb-c
Hi Dave, I also have a BC1, currently using a Panasonic Freeview box through its STB controller. I will have the same problem as with my Avant when I want to switch it to satellite. In the UK Sky seem to keep

From the response (and reader numbers) to this post I guess that the Avant is well on its way to the Beoworld Vintage section! Any input from Keith would be appreciated re satellite STB manufacturers who keep to the same remote control codes when producing new boxes. Maybe my only option is to go through the STB menu on my Avant and try to pick-out
