jk1002: Assuming we get you a Beosound 5 and a Beomaster 5, would it be better to install the BS5 on one of you so that it follows you around where you go or is it required to install one everywhere were you might enjoy the lush grass? You might want to consider the function of a sheepdog in the equation ...

Imagine all the fine vintage and near-vintage units that get thrown away because dealers can't be bothered. (And it's not just B&O). Really a shame. Your Beomaster can most certainly be repaired, and you'll probably be surprised by how little it will cost. And if not, then it will probably be a good donor unit for a repairer ...

Agreed, the Playstation 3 is a very impressive bit of tech with unlimited possibilities. I didn't like the noise from the drive - is that gone?

I dislike the entire Blu-ray format. Had a Pioneer Blu-ray player on trial some months ago -- took miiiiinnnnnuuuuuutttttteeeeeeesssssss to just get going, slow and unpredictable, lots of DRM checks and balances. Me no like at all. I should point out that you can purchase movies in high-resolution, not just rent them. Lots of services coming with this offer now. Vudu.com, www.videogiants.com, etc. And you can also purchase movies from AppleTV, which means they won't autodelete.
