Francis, You could use the PUC and B&O have offically stated that in future all IR codes added to the PUC will be added to the Beo5. However to date that has not been achieved. With regards to the Mac Mini, as far as I am aware this has not been offically added to the PUC, so I would expect that it has been created and added by your dealer. The

Francis, The current Beo5 firmware will allow the support for fast scrolling, but no 3rd party XML files currently on the Beo5 download section have it implemented yet. In a future release of the Beo5 3rd Party XML Generator we do intend to add this functionality, but right now we cannot offer it.

The B&O dealers just have the Beo5 Configuration Tool provided by B&O. Many of them also visit the Beo5 Information & Resource pages HERE provided by Beoworld

Piet, B&O has coded it in such a way that you have to repeat the process for each source. Search for "digit" to find each block in your Configuration.XML file.

Taking into consideration everything you have said so far, then clearly you either have a faulty Beolink Passive or a cable issue.
