Piaf: Martin, My thought was to open the 2400 up and see if my nose can lead me to the problem. With such a strong odor I imagine the offending component will make itself known. Just my thought. Jeff Not a bad idea, I have done the same myself and it has worked. Craig

Looking at the user manual you will need a converter. Needs a Powerlink connection and an Audio Aux connection from your Audio master. Powerlink would not be a problem as you have one of these. Your Aux connection does not carry the required Datalink signals though. Craig

mfirst: ok, but what does it do? and why would I want (need?) one? -michael What does it do...... It would let you setup a surround sound setup for your TV. Why would you want one.........Usually the surround sound processor is in your B&O TV. This is an external one. If you want surround sound with you non B&O TV. This is what you would need

Hi Tony, I have an MX5500 which still has the Beosat module connected. As a result I am unable to assign the Sat command to any of the Scart connections. Craig

j0hnbarker: Yep - too much chemistry revision has driven me to distraction. I just hope I don't get homolytic and heterolytic bond fission confused in the morning...... :P :P :P :P My glib response was clearly too quick and ill thought through! Good luck for your exam in the morning. Craig

Not sure you would be able to set it as a slave. One thing I do know is you cannot set a Beocenter 9000 to option 0 (Disable the I.R. reception) Had this problem myself when I owned one. It was masterlinked to my BV3. If I was listening to a CD it would jump 2 tracks at time. Or if I entered a track number, eg 2. It would come up on the display as 22

j0hnbarker: ...a fancy MX with bells and whistles? Think you are getting mixed up with an AV9000 John. AV7000 was a dolby suround sound processor, mostly sold in North America. There were some 240 Volt versions made I believe, but they are very rare. It used 4 Active speakers and a single CX100 as the centre channel. Craig

When the HDR1 was released it would not work with Avant VCR's. Not sure if this problem has been fixed with a SW upgrade. Craig

9 LEE: nmartin771: Lee, maybe you could give symbolic prize to member 10 000 ? Maybe golden memership .... I'm thinking of having a Prize Draw (just a few nice prizes) that will be drawn from all 10,000 members... Sound good? Lee Sounds like a good idea, but I can see one problem. In the past you have had problems letting prize draw winners know

Pretty sure it won't work, as to use Beoport you need a compatible audio master. This I believe is because the required drivers are in the audio master. Craig
