Probably not as much as you'd expect. Lifestyle have a 2008-model that has sold for £3995: http://www.lifestyle-av.co.uk/details.asp?sectionId=1&productId=3754 How many people would want a 3-4 year old BV7-32? I guess you'd get around £2700 privately or £1400 as a trade-in from your dealer. I wasn't offered a great
It would be very sad if B&O continued to use this soap-opera picture enhancement in their BV8. What is your dealer telling you about this issue ?
It's not on my BV8-26 and I saw the BV8-40 again, at the weekend, with another Blu-ray movie, and there was no soap-opera effect. Looked no different to the
Well said 10%. At last a sensible post.
I think that's a tad unfair on this thread, Graham. Perhaps you are talking to the wrong audience (ie. we all buy and like B&O). Sounds like you're suggesting that my and other posts, above are not 'sensible'. Just because a post matches your viewpoint
jk100 2 a new head unit? what makes you say that? is it a rumour or from a proper b&o source. like a lot of people here i am not convinced by the looks of the head unit myself - it is too small...
I think TripEnglish has mentioned another head unit to compliment the BS5. I think the head unit looks
1. A BeoVision 7 & BeoLab 9s (where the BeoSound 5 will go) - TV room 2. A BeoCenter 2 & BeoLab 9s - dining/kitchen 3. A BeoSound 4 + BeoLab 3s - office
Yep :) Thanks for the update Trip, much appreciated. I don't think the BS5 will be here for a couple of weeks though. I'll let you know

However, there are no excuses for not offering the very best technical specifications with every product.
I definitley agree with this. When relatively cheap tat outperforms a prestige brand's product, someone's not doing their job right....
However, can

I guess that must be some kind of mistake. There was a rumour that there would be a HDMI 'switch box' from B&O that would enable MKII owners to connect multiple HDMI cables. However, you could only use one of them at any one time - you only have a single DVI socket. A single socket can't be turned in to multiple inputs.

Correct Jeff. Would be ideal. I could then replace my BS4, BC2 etc with more BS5s, all connected to the same master BM5! Maybe that's another question for the UK CEO...

No, you can't wave your hand in front of the DVD player. You're right. This was just sloppy journalism. As I said, I emailed that Sam from ERN and he replied. Decent reply, too. Just a pity he didn't ask for more help to build his opinion, before he offered it to the Telegraph!
I changed my BS9000 to a BS5/BM5 some months ago. In my house the music got much better with a more crispy and clear sound. In some tunes I can now hear things I didn´t heared before.
CD mastering can be quite poor, especially CDs from the first few years they were released and latter-day CDs where the
