first put the audio in standby and try SOUND 1 STORE on the BL1000. Watch if the standby led reacts. Then try to control your audio with your BL1000

I doubt if it is with solemnly a BM5 at all possible. Does the BM5 shows AUX in the start-up menu? If not so, I would say it will be impossible to connect a smart phone simular to the way it is now possible on the Beosound 5!
