SCART control, as far as I know, does two things - relating to pins 8 and 16. It uses pin 8 for widescreen signalling (to tell the tv whether it's 4:3 or 16:9), and it uses it to tell the tv 'I'm here'. This usually means turning it on switches your TV to AV mode - this isn't the case with a B&O tv. But the widescreen signalling

Bizarrely, after replying to this thread a while back, I've just come across this issue myself tonight! There is a bug in the Sky box - confirmed by various googlings. I'm currently in my bedroom watching TV, and the red button won't work. This is because there is a cable connected via HDMI, but the tv that uses HDMI is not on. If I were

Depends which you have built in. I think HD is fairly standard in the UK, but you could opt for the older one up to a point. Unfortunately, they'd never let you save the cash and have neither! If you've got Sky, it's possible they've disabled it. The only use I've found for it is to wake up to radio - I'd place more faith in

Thomson Sky HD box? It's a problem with the box, not the tv. It'll appear on any tv if it's pixel mapping. Here's a few fixes or workarounds: 1. Change the output resolution from 1080i to Auto. This will mean that the TV does all the scaling for 576p streams, which is almost certainly better than the sky box anyway. Downside is the EPG

Ah - thanks for clearing that up. Misread, i think! I'll buy a BS5 at some point, so that'll solve it. If I get restless in the meantime, I might seek out a second hand Overture/3000 or similar.
It`s NOT possible to access BC6 radio from other rooms. In BC6 you will find a menu BEOLINK, where you can enable / disable the internal BC6 radio. I don`t know how the BC6 radio works in a linksystem without audiomaster, but I think Roger is right, that you can access BC6 radio from other rooms.
Aren't those
out of curiousity i looked at the reference manual for the bc6-23 online. on page 45 it lists explicity the different options to set for v.opt and a.opt. this must be how i did it. be careful, this certainly works in tandem with the beolink options on the previous page.
I'm fairly sure all this explains how

Hi Scott I gave this a go the other day, and the BC6 won't accept or recognise the A.OPT command. In addition, the service menu only lists one 'Option' setting - not a video/audio one.

Any brand (don't think sony make one). However, this won't let you power on the PS3. If you want a near perfect solution, check out www.re-bl.com . A PUC exists for it, too.

To my knowledge, the Mk III BV7 was released around the same time as the MK II BS3 is indicated above. Possibly not coincidence.
