15-20 mins? Are you having lunch and making a telephone call at the same time?!?!?! 5 mins tops, £180 seems a mite too high but then again the guy might need to travel 50 miles each way so who knows?

You'll need an earthing strap and a small flat bladed screwdriver. And a Torx set to take the back off.

If DTV is bringing up SKY then the DVB option is turned off. There are some uses to turning it back on, and turning off the (analogue) TV option instead, allowing you to allocate Sky to the TV button. If you are ever recording two programmes off of SKY (which my wife frequently does), then you can switch to the in-built digital terrestrial tuner via

Why bother with a listening test then if it is as you state? Some people may prefer the 2500's to 4000's, are they to feel they are wrong in some way? People tell me that 5's are better than 9's, I differ. The general consensus is not to have a Beolab 2 with 9's, I differ there as well.

Is there any progress with this? I don't think this thread should be allowed to die - my BV10 has none of these problems so the claim that clouding is inherent in LCD technology is clearly not true - no clouding on any of my Apple Displays either........ have there been any developments?

If you can't get one from B&O service then I am breaking an Avant and you can scavenge from that.

Is it impossible to only have 7-2 and rears? Yes

Stick with the Pana panels, I have experienced various issues with screens from other manufacturers - take the cracked screen out of the B&O BV4 case and simply replace the screen and hook up, you might need an rs232 gender changer.

I have read this post with interest, and am simply staggered at the reported responses of Dealer and B&O alike. I have bought a BV10 and if my screen displays vagaries like these ever within the 3 year warranty period it will be going back to the supplying Dealer. Simply not acceptable.

Firstly I would move your Beolab 3 to the front and the 6000 to the rear. I would not swap the MK3 panel and neither would I change. I would get a PS3, use the STB-C control (or have the software upgraded) for blu-ray (upscales standard DVD's also). BV10 is good but does not have the connectvity or audio performance of the Beovision/lab 7 series
