I have an authentic G7 BeoVision 4 screen and have wondered just how much B&O there truly is in that Panasonic-produced screen. The screen's internal IR sensor (hidden behind that brushed aluminum panel) does not react to a Beo4. Rather it reacts only to a Panasonic remote, which is necessary to access the screen's menu. The menu shows no

The BeoCenter 2 definitely should have been updated with blu-ray. As the cost of blu-ray players can now easily be found for around $100 USD, blu-ray has become more common. Since every blu-ray player can also play DVD, that makes the BeoCenter 2 redundant in home theater setups. I believe that in the early days of blu-ray, the excuse by B&O was

I never made a conscious decision to stop using CDs. It just naturally happened after I got my BeoSound 5. I found that after awhile, I never used my BeoCenter 2 for CDs anymore. Eventually, I changed the settings to make the BeoSound 5 the audio master instead of the BeoCenter 2 so that I could have N.MUSIC on my BeoSound 5 respond to the CD button

similarly, if you buy an new tune on iDevice-2 there will be an automatic download to iDevice-1.
Of course you are correct! I have already used this feature... the song will indeed download to the mobile device. That makes what I was trying to articulate not very clear! The difference

In the U.S. we already have access to some of the iCloud features. I've been playing around with it for the last week. It definitely is NOT a streaming service (at least not yet) but is rather a service to synchronize libraries by allowing downloads to iDevices or registered computers with iTunes. From within iTunes, there is a screen that shows

I remember when I bought my BeoSound 5 the painful WEEKS of tedious work it took me to clean up my music library, correcting tags and replacing low resolution cover art. When I watched Steve Jobs' announcement last week about iCloud, the first thing that came to mind was how much pain and effort the new Musicmatch feature could have saved me. While

Ah, yes. It was was of the first purchases I made at the B&O temple while I was still a law student. One of the few items I could afford at B&O at the time!
This would seem a neat way for those of us with BS3's to add 3D to our Beovision rooms Barry
Already having a Sim 2 projector connected to my BeoSystem 3, I've been interested in adding a tv for 3d. However, the need for routing new wiring through the wall and bypassing the BS3 to have a direct video
White in white, why not maroon or a deep burgundy color
Thanks for posting that! I've been thinking about getting a maroon speaker grill for my black Avant. I think the result would be similar. If only B&O had made a maroon speaker cover for the BeoLab 8000.

I've been interested in this as well. Samsung has announced a 3D projector that will sell for $7000 to $8000 USD. Since Samsung projectors seem to be the recommended projectors for B&O, this one might end up being the preferred 3D projector for B&O.
