  • Re: Why should B&O come with a two way remote ?

Why was B&O (about) the first to introduce a remote control for an audio system? Because the most relevant place to operate the system is the place where one is enjoying the music (e.g. sofa or link room), irrespective of where the hardware is located. Why should an audio system come with a two-way remote? Well, with remote controls and digital

  • Re: B&O-Apple integration: two questions

Thank you all for your input. Any idea about how (better) the DAC of the Airport Express, iMac and Mac Mini compare to the MacBook's DAC? Cheers, js

  • Hootie MTV Unplugged

A little off-topic, but if you allow me... I am desperately looking for a decent recording (CD or MP3) of the MTV Unplugged concert of "Hootie and the Blowfish" dated 19 April 1996 as a present for my girlfriend. If anyone knows where to find one (legal, of course...), please let me know. Thank you so much. Cheers, js

  • Re: Beo 5 two-...

So it may have been worth being patient... I would have preferred a totally new remote ( à la Beo4 or iPhone) as I really dislike the design of the Beo5, but that is excellent news anyway. Thank you Sheeps. Let's hope that Struer will solve the configuration (tool) issues and that the two-way Beo5 will be as attractive as an iPhone with Apple

  • Re: B&O-Apple integration: two questions

Thank you all for your help. If the MacBook's built-in DAC is not that good, is there any other Mac that has a good one (MacBook Pro, iMac)? Just in order to avoid the external DAC if I can. Cheers, Jean-Sebastien

  • B&O-Apple integration: two questions

Dear all, I am considering the following (simple) set-up: MacBook Aluminium -> Airport Express -> B&O audio master. I will use an iPod Touch with Apple Remote in order to remotely access my music library, which will be in a lossless format. Now I have two questions for the knowledgeables among you: 1. As my B&O audio master has no digital

  • Replacing Beocenter 9000/9500 CD mechanism

Dear all, I own both a Beocenter 9000 and a Beocenter 9500. I desperately want to keep both working on a daily basis. But I fear that the CD mechanisms will die soon or late. Therefore, could someone knowledgeable indicate whether it is possible to replace both existing CD mechanisms with more recent ones for which spare parts are still (ad will remain

  • Re: Strange BL8000 placment !

Irrespective of what one may think of this set up (I don't like it, but anyway...), I think the biggest mistake is... the ventilation grills: that ruins the whole concept. I am often surprised how people neglect the details (e.g. hiding cables) of a beo setup.
